    Can someone please inform me that help your claim Lydia was declared bankruptcy in recent years ?

    i made a claim through Hyc about four years ago,there was a dispute on their charges,finally when I decided to pay them they seems to close their business and applied for bankruptcy,now after three years I have received a claim for to pay them around £1000 without any warning.what options do I have as I do not want ccj
    please help

      As a result of an investigation, the Claims Management Regulator has imposed a financial penalty of £553,000 on Help Your Claim Limited.

      Help Your Claim Limited was found in breach of the following Conduct of Authorised Persons Rules 2014:

      Client Specific Rule 1(c) - A business shall ensure that all information given to the client is clear, transparent, fair and not misleading.

      Client Specific Rule 3 - A business must not engage in high pressure selling.

      Client Specific Rule 4 - Cold calling in person is prohibited. Any marketing by telephone, email, fax or text shall be in accordance with the Direct Marketing Association’s Code and any related guidance issued by the Direct Marketing Association.

      Client Specific Rule 17a) - In seeking information to help pursue a claim a business shall advise the client that any claims documentation should be read carefully and retained.
      Appeal dismissed

      On 23 April 2018 the First-tier Tribunal (General Regulatory Chamber) Claims Management Services dismissed an appeal made by Help Your Claim Limited against the Regulator’s decision to impose a financial penalty of £553,000. The decision can be found below.

      So that explains why they're trying to recoup some money in now ! to pay their fine !!!


      They don't seem to have gone into liquidation though - I'd guess you were thinking of the MOJ action against them.

      Which is weird when you were trying to pay them. Do you remember much else about what happened and I can have a another dig about.

        Help Your Claim Limited [HYC] are instructed to act as my/our sole representative in the settlement of my PPI claim(s) and/or Plevin affected claim(s).
        I/we will provide HYC and the financial provider with any information requested to pursue the claim where requested.
        If the financial provider sends correspondence direct to myself, I/we will forward this to HYC at the earliest opportunity.
        The claim handling will be carried out by HYC, who have absolutely no affiliation with your financial provider.
        There is no requirement to use HYC to handle your claim. You have the right to seek further advice or to shop around. The Financial Ombudsman Service is also available to seek redress independently.
        On success of your claim, HYC will charge a 20% fee + VAT (24% in Total) on all amounts received. Our charges apply to the total value of the compensation received. “Compensation” means (but is not limited to) any one or a combination of the following: a cash refund paid directly to you; a reduction of your credit balance; a reduction in your arrears, Debt Management Plan (DMP) or Individual Voluntary Agreement (IVA) Please note our fee is still payable if this applies to your claim. Please see below our example fees table (section 3)
        On receipt of settlement by the financial provider, I/we agree that we will notify HYC within 7 working days, and understand HYC will then issue an invoice for their services, which must be paid at the earliest opportunity.
        I/we understand that when a lenders decision is overturned through an appeal to the Financial Ombudsman Service and the customer receives a full refund, HYC’s fee of 20% + VAT (24% in Total) will still apply. If the appeal is unsuccessful there will be no charge.
        HYC may terminate this agreement should the amount recoverable be deemed to be commercially insufficient to progress.
        I/we may cancel this agreement at any point prior to a reasonable offer being made and incur no fee, this can be done via telephone, e-mail or any other means available (details of which can be found at clause 13). You may also exercise your right to cancel by using our cancellation form which can be found at LINK REMOVED However if there is a reasonable offer made and cancellation is attempted HYC will be entitled to charge their full fee.
        HYC is regulated by the Claims Management Regulator in respect of regulated claims management activities, authorisation number CRM20438.
        This agreement shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales.

        We reserve the right to assign our rights and responsibilities in this contract provided that the person we assign it to agrees to provide the same services to you in accordance with this contract. We will write to you at least 4 weeks before any assignment is made to ensure that you are aware that it is happening. In this notice you will be given the option to opt out of the assignment to third parties and continue your claim by other means by notifying us by any reasonable means in this time.
