  • Universal Credit

I became unfit to work in July this year 2018. I finished my job on the 5/7/18 and I made a claim for universal credit on the 9/7/18 My final wage was made up of one days work on the 5/7/18 four days holiday pay and three month back dated pay for a pay rise we got. I claimed on the 9th my wages went in my bank for w/e 5/7/18 a total of £555 Universal Credit took £349.65 off my benefit saying I had worked during the assessment period but I did not work. I wrote to my MP Andrew Jones in Harrogate he replied by letter "Universal Credit take into account when the money was paid into your bank not when the work was carried out." They have robbed me of my pay rise and holiday pay can they really do this. Can anyone help can I somehow claim my money back.
