Could any one tell me if there is a legal distance required for signage to be seen when parking a car, our car was parked 51 feet away from the sign and to the left, we left the car and headed towards the right. I have looked on the bpa website and could not find anything .many thanks

So do an edit so that there is no hint at the driver and post up the Parking Charge Notice you received, suitably redacted but leave the dates.

It's not a penalty it's a mere invoice for an alleged breach of their conditions on the sign. If you can't read the sign then there is no contract. Did you pass a sign on the way in, a sign that is readable by the driver of a moving car? Can you go there and take a photo of the sign.

Perhaps the name of the parking company and the location of the car park so that others can look at it on street view.

sorry I am late in replying. we have been and took photos of all the damaged signs plus the one on the entrance (only slightly damaged) which is on a bend with an uphill gradient also a road joining from the side, it would be difficult for a driver to read taking in the road layout as described above. We have sent the POPLA appeal in by post as the computer decided to play up! I also pointed out the phone number which starts with 0844 number for their customer service is now forbidden by law to be used for customer service numbers, (U.K .Area Codes and number Information) ,so now just waiting for a response, not sure how long that will take. Thankyou all

It is normal to post on here before sending to POLA so that your appeal can be critiqued. Have you now identified the driver?
