  • JC&A

Hi and thank you I need some advice please some help I've received a letter from JC&A solicitors saying that they have past my file to their Credit control Department as they have carried out work on my behalf.

It was to do with a car accident in 2011. I told them at the time that I did not want to go through with it as they wanted my son was only 12 and I had no intention of taking him out of school to see a doctor and then to attend court.

I explained all that at the time and they said I did not have to go through with it but to let them know if I changed my mine. Somewhere I have a letter to confirm this.

Now they have sent me a letter saying that they have past my file to their Credit control but I never received any letter from them asking for payment and they have not stated how much I'm supposed to owe them.

    Can someone help me please.

Hi Sonny, Apologies we missed your post.

How far along the personal injury claims path had you got down before you decided not to go ahead. Had you signed any documentation / instructed the firm at all ?

How did you first get in touch with JC&A ? and is it this one http://www.jcasolicitors.co.uk/ ?

I hope your son is okay xxxxx

      Hi Amethyst,
Thank you for replying to me.
I can remember signing one letter which I assume gave them the instructions.
After that I received a letter telling me that a appointment had been made for my son to attend a doctor. I called them to cancel the appointment as I had no intention of taking him out of school.
That's when they told me he was going to have to attend court and tell a judge what happened to him.

I said that he was not doing that and I had no intention of taking him out of school.
The girl I spoke to took advice from someone while I was on the phone.
She then said that was fine, I did not have to go ahead but to let them know if I wanted to go ahead in future. Sometime later I received a letter confirming that.
I'm trying to find that letter now.

the original contact was buy phone, they kept calling me until I gave in. I can't believe I'm so stupid.

l believe it is the same solicitor in your post.

my son is doing really well thank you.
thank you again for replying to me .
