Hello there, im having similar problems in 2020, signed up after being told lies about the course and details of college. Was only met once by the person who sold it me and she told me that she couldn't meet me again as she didn't have enough time before Christmas so if I wanted to sign I would have to do it then. I couldnt keep up with payments so had to cancel my direct debit and now I have letters saying I need to pay the full amount or could be legal problems. I havent ever even received a log in for my course but I have received all the CD's/books etc. I want out of this and wondering if anyone has had any luck withdrawing or if there is anything I can do. Thank you.

Did they do any affordability checks with you?
And did the lady visit you twice? Wants to sell you the course and the second time to get you to sign the finance agreement?
Did she leave you with a copy of the credit agreement?"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

Hello everyone.
Yep they got me too.
Was lied to at point of sale. Location and availability of practical centers and the number of times you need to visit.
So I am going to get a lawyer to sort this out for me.
I've just found out I've been conned, so it will be a few more weeks before I learn anything, bit I will post any information I get in here. Hopefully, if my lawyer doesn something clever I can let you guys know.
Bearing in mind, the lawyer is going to cost me something like a grand. But that is cheaper than the 7800 I would have to pay them lot, and there is the principal of it all. I'd rather give 7800 to a lawyer and get what I asked for than give 7800 to a company that lied to me.
Keep watching this post.

I’m currently going thru the same bull%#%T as everyone else in this group, has anyone had any advice from the financial ombudsman yet or any other legal advice I have this morning been on the phone to Carnegie consumer finance and they say that they are going to send me my contract but seem confident I’m pretty much screwed and will have to pay to full balance owed, how has everyone else got on with the enquires?
thanks in advance

I have gone through exactly the same with these guys. I actually sent an email to an address cancelling before the cooling off period - after reading reviews
The email address i sent it to came back to me to tell me that it was actually nothing to do with CCF(after the end of the cooling off period) , and they had been getting lots of emails from clients wanting information from or cancelling agreements with CCF.
When i challenged this with CCF they basically said there was nothing they could do
To date i have had not one tel call or any other piece of contact from the 'college' to ask why i havent logged in.
I have stood firm against CCF though and havent paid them a single penny.....They have now passed it on to a debt collector , but ultimately what can they do? Ive told them they are not getting a single penny and im prepared to see them (CCF) in court
I also subscribe to two credit agencies - experian and equifax........and neither of them have any record of this 'agreement' on my credit file.....
Ill see CCF in hell before i pay them anything .......scum

Anyone still having trouble with these?
my partner has done no work with them. Tried to contact college etc. Nothing but yet these lot seem to think we should continue to pay a course he is not fit to do?? Have medical Letter the lot to say not fit yet can’t get hold of college to say we haven’t undertaken the course so shouldn’t they give Carnegie the money back? Driving me insane with calls and letters but now fibbing me off putting me on payment holiday for further 3 months to try keep them quite and off the voicemails *♀️
loosing the will at the moment with them

I am currently doing a plumbing course with train for jobs and pay through Carnegie I didn’t see any of these when I agreed to it so it’s pretty worrying that I’m seeing all these complaints. Has anyone actually gone to the training centres and done any practicals?

Would appear I too have been conned by Train4jobs/ Carnegie!
sadly it’s taken three years of payment before I discovered these courses were all bogus so have lost a few grand. I’ve spoken to the city of guilds and they have no record of this company and when I spoke to trading standards they knew the name from the off!
I’m now being chased down for the remaining payments as I cancelled on the advice of my bank!
Im being threatened with all sorts of legal action and damages to my credit score etc but when I’ve asked for hard copies of the paperwork I’ve signed my requests are refused and I’ve been told they cannot send anything in writing (which I believe is illegal if I have requested such?)
I have also written two letters to Train4jobs advising them I will be taking legal action if they do not provide me with copies of my contract/ credit agreement etc (I was left with nothing but a welcome letter), to date they have responded to neither 14 day notice or final action letter.
if anyone out there is still going through a case, wants to join forces in a case etc please I’d be very happy to hear from you!

I wish I'd looked online before signing up to my course. The salesmen are stupidly overpowering and try to rush through the application process. The stupid affordability assessment they filled out for me proved I didn't have the funds at the time to pay for the course but they didn't care. I'm stuck paying £2000 for the next year now. I made a post on reddit about them too and they somehow managed to link my reddit account to me and cold called me trying to 'reassure' me that they aren't a scam etc.
As for the finance side of things, it's not even like it's a direct debit because it's not something I can cancel from my bank. I guess I could ring my bank up and ask them to cancel it but has anyone actually had the guts to cancel it yet? I don't want to sound selfish but because my loan seems to be much smaller than a lot of people's on here there might be a chance they'd just forget it (then again I might be acting too hopeful).

Similar situation for me.
The only difference is, I was in consolidation when I signed up and I made this clear. I told the salesman, I will have to do my overtime to pay for it on a video conference call. I am am still in consolidation, and now die to covid I've had to change jobs. Working on a lower wage, I can no longer afford the 190 a month for the sparky course.
So if I'm understanding this correctly, they've given me credit while I made it clear I am not allowed credit.
So if it went to court or I pass this in to my consolidation company, would they have a leg to stand on?
