Barclaycard credit card

Hello all can I just say thank you in advanced for any replies I may get long story short I allowed someone I was living with the use of my credit card amassing a debt of £4000 the agreement was I would make the minimum payments each month as payment for living with them and they would cover the interest well I kept my end of the bargain but they didn’t keep theirs I’ve been paying £110 each month for years now I’ve not used the card at all and my balance never goes down in fact it’s gone up they are charging me around £100 in interest each month i worked out that I have paid Barclaycard around £5220 and my account balance still says £4339 all of this is interest I’ve notified be Barclaycard that my minimum payment is being raise to £141 from £110 which I can’t afford is there anything I can do as it just seems I’m paying something that is going up and not down

Is this the only credit card you have ??? if you have made the payments regular your credit rating should be good if so it maybe worth transferring to a balance transfer card where you pay no interest for 24 months paying 110 a month at the end of the interest free stage you would only owe £1360 you could then transfer to another interest free card for 12 months and clear the debt in 3 years rather than what Barclaycard are requiring will take far longer
