Hi all, I'm new to the site and found it on my quest for answers.
Looks pretty damn good.
I have sold a house that was part owned by my mum(deceased)my wife and myself.
My wife and I have been seperated for 14 years but still owned a 1/6th share each.
She claims that I promised her my share when the house sold.
This she conveyed to my solicitor through hers and this is where the issue begins.
My solicitor is refusing to release my share until an agreement is reached even though there is nothing in writing saying I'd give her my 1/6th share....surely this can't be right? or is it?
