  • Old CCJ

    Hello Everyone

I had a CCJ with my Ex and it was escalated to the High Court for enforcement.

I gather that CCJ has expired but the creditor can go back and seek permission to chase it again and Judge will decide on Merits of the case.

    My questions are

How likely are they to seek this ?

How likely are Court to give permission, what exactly are merits?

They had six years and still on very low income so you can't get blood out of a stone.

Does the HCEO escalation add anything to this (do they still go to County Court for permission or High Court)?

Do they encourage extending it to their clients (even though they only got a few payments which I gather went on their fees rather than to the creditor?

    Thanks in advance

    Kaz
