  • CCJ help (and other stuff)

    Hello Every1,

I am sure everyone is, but please be kind. I have just found out I was dating a total control freak and liar. I have PTSD and depression and also I am dyslexic. So I struggle to handle things at the best of times. However I have just been declined for a credit card, checked my credit and have discovered I have a CCJ. Issued on 13th of July, I have not had any notification of the judgement. I filled out the form the creditor sent disputing the amount. I got sent a court form asking for the same larger amount. I sent in my defnenxe as best I could and heard nothing. I assumed I’d be asked to go to court or notified of when to go.

I checked my credit file and got a reference and called the court who where honestly horrobile to me and it was only when I broke down did they seem to speak to me as if I was human. They said they get a lot of abuse, which doesn’t seem fair.

Whats worse is ive just got my life on track after an incident which changed my life forever and got a job with a bank, even with my PTSD and dyslexia. But I am regularly scored for this and now will loose my job.

The adviser said I could try to set the judgement aside but unsure how to do this, I would lend the money from a loan shark or anyone but they said it’s too late to pay to have it removed.

If someone could help me, and fix this they would change what is now the worst time of my life, (thought I got my life back together) and allow me to carry on with my fresh start.

What do I do? What are my chances of success? My manager has said they will have to let me go if the CCJ remains. If only they had told me I could have tryd to fix this. They said we posted it so that’s that. I posted my defence but doesn’t seem the same rule for me

    thanks

      Morning,

Try not to worry you should be able to sort this out.

How did you file your defence ? - moneyclaim online, post or email ?

Did the court help desk ( once they'd stopped being nasty) confirm they hadn't received it and that's why a judgment in default was obtained , or was it that you hadn't returned a form ( directions questionnaire) ? Need to know what happened and the reason for the judgement being obtain to know what argument to use to set it aside.

was it Northampton county court business centre ?

How much is the claim for ?

What is is the original debt ? and what was your defence ?

And who is the claimant ?

here is some guidance/ help on set on set aside app,
