Hi guys, I need some legal help to sort out one issue. Around 6 months ago, I was travelling on a tram with a valid contactless card but tram company issued me penalty fare notice. I successfully appealed and penalty fare ticket was cancelled but tram company took around 5 months to sort this out but they have to do this within 28 days. I have to involved Travel Watch to sort this out as tram company was in totally mess. I had to spend more than 30 hours to sort this all out and it caused me lots of distress and upset.
Can I claim compensation for time spent on to deal with the issue, distress and upset? what law and act would cover this area? any sort of help would be much appricaited. Thanks in advance
