  • Experto credite

    Hello

i wanted a bit of information on where to go from here. I had a credit card with a major credit card company and got into a bad situation which landed me in arrears. The debt eventually got passed over to Experto Credite. Eventually i offered a reduced settlement offer, to which they replied saying that they would be in touch with the lender and get back to me as soon as they received a response from them. This was 2 years ago and I have heard nothing since. I checked my Equifax account and checked my score and this debt is still showing on there as unsettled and it is majorly affecting my credit rating. It is leaving me with the worst score possible. So tonight i attempted to email Experto Credite and the email kept comping back as undeliverable, so i checked online and it looks like the company went into liquidation back in 2017. So i don't know where i stand now with this debt. Is anybody able to advise me on what steps i should take?

    Thank you in advance

no doubt your alledged debt is owned by PRA group now as most did, equifax shows who as owner?

      Hi. Thanks for your response.

Equifax isn’t giving me any details as to who now owns the debt, it is only saying that it is a BOI credit card (which is who I originally took the debt out with) but it is showing that there have been no updates to my equitable account in relation to this debt since 2015 which is strange as I offers a reduced settlement sum in 2016.

      thank you in advance
