Banned from local Asda store
Can anyone advise me..my husband works at our local Asda store .I became aware he was having an affair with a fellow co worker.Our marriage was coming to an end anyway so I said I was trying to find a home for myself and our children so if he could not bring her to our home or introduce her to our kids until we had moved out.
Within a few days he attempted to bring her into our home and he took the children off with her whilst I was at work !!
A few days later he changed the locks on our home and kicked us out !! We were homeless for 7 months..living above a pub in 1 room !
He had been violent in the past so social services stopped any contact with the kids and 7 months of hell started..
He would call the police and say I had threatened him in the street or my son had threatened him...obviously we hadn't so no further action was taken.
One day I was shopping in my local Asda..he was there giving me dirty looks...telling other staff members " Oh here comes the bitch..she still wont let me see my kids etc "...I would just keep my head down and try to ignore him even though I wanted to scream and say "Social services stopped you seeing the kids not ME ! " But no..I kept quiet in fear of getting banned..
As I left the store the manager came over to me and said " You have to leave the premises as you have assaulted and threatened a member of my staff !! "
I was horrified...people staring at me..his new girlfriend stood laughing at me..I calmly said " there is CCTV in this store so please,please show me the CCTV of me threatening or assaulting him "
Obviously he couldn't as it never happened but he told me to get off the premises and that I was banned !!
I tried contacting head office but nobody would reply to my emails..months later eventually somebody did get back to me and the complete ban was lifted but I am only allowed in there when he or she is not working !
So most days I am banned but allowed a few hours here or there...the manager stated they are a family at Asda and that he has a duty to look after his staff...I am a Mum and I have a duty to look after my kids...if there was another store in our village I would use it but I cannot afford to shop in Waitrose (the only other shop here)..I work part time so I can be there for my kids so I don't earn much..when I do go in there the staff look down there nose at me and it's driving me mad !! What can I do ?! I feel that I have been treated unfairly and its only my kids who are suffering here as I cant just pop out and get what I need for them !! Thanks for reading...sorry a bit long winded !
