  • BMPA No longer exisits

    Hello all!
Please forgive if I'm not up to speed on the forums as I am new to this.
So my issue is that I received a PCN back in December 2017 and I have since been harassed by both Excel parking and the various debt recovery agents trying to get rediculous amounts of money out of me when I wasn't even able to get a parking space at the site.
I was getting some good advice from BMPA and they were assisting me with the process. However, I have tried to reach them today to inform them of two recent letters from debt collectors but the response,
email was one to tell me that the company no longer excisits.
So I am now here for some guidence as to what to do next.

The debt collectors are threatening me with court action if Dont pay the reducded fee. My arguement is that Excel parking wasn't able to provide me the services that they were offering, namely, a parking space.

So, am I to just wait and fight them in court on my own and see what the judge says, I'm really not sure what to do now... Please can someone help??

      British Motorist Protection Association.

It is defunct and the web page has been taken over.

This looks like the driver entered the site, couldn't park and then left but was picked up by the cameras.

If it's just debt collectors then not a problem, continue to ignore. Is DR+ and Zenith by any chance? They may be threatening court but is it goes to court then they don't get anything so it is most likely the empty threat.

So post up the original Notice to Keeper, suitably redacted but leave dates. and possibly signs If you have been offered a discount the they probably realise they are on a sticky wicket.

Before it gets to court they have to issue you with a letterr before claim and give 30 days notice.

Even give the location so Google street view can be used.
