PPI

Hello, I have received good news on a PPI claim however the company acting on my behalf are charging me a fee of 30% + vat = 36% in total. I would never have agreed to that amount it would be silly. I did sign a letter of authority but there was no mention of 30% + vat on the form I signed. My question is where do I stand legally? Thanks

Which company is it? when did you sign up with them ? and did you sign up online, phone, email etc ?

If you signed the contract and letters of authority it is likely to be enforceable.

Hi, the company is Claim Lion Law. They have sent me a acceptance form to sign which they will then forward to HSBC. The form requires my and my wife’s signatures. They have at my request sent me a copy of the PPI claim application that I signed on 02/09/16 and does say I accept their terms of engagement. I don’t believe I received anything stating 30%. However my wife did not sign this form. Cheers

Ok so it's an SRA regulated law firm, as opposed to a Claims Management Company.

Could you post up the PPI claim application (and any other documents you signed). Just click on the paperclip icon and redact any personal info. If you struggle to do that you can e-mail them to me and I'll do it nick@legalbeaglesgroup.com
