  • One executor refuses to talk to beneficiaries

Hi, my Grandad passed away last August. He named two executors, both his children.
to begin with one executor sorted everything! The other sat back.
the estate entered into probate, house was sold.

Due to the poorly written will, we were forced to get a barristers view due to the lazy executor not willing to discuss it with anyone.
Now the lazy executor wanted her adopted son to receive something however the term blood was used and the barrister ruled that he would be excluded.
then the solicitor suggested that we come to a compromise, we decided to offer him something however they refuse to speak to us about it.
as a spokesperson for the adult beneficiaries, I sent an email requesting they talk to us and put the excluded son in contact us as only he can accept or refuse the compromise.

none of them have been in contact and the solicitor is waiting on instructions of how to distribute the will.
the executor who has worked hard to sort this is fearing a lock down.

what rights do I have as a beneficiary? Can I contact the solicitor myself?
can we retract the compromise offer or give him a time limit? Is that legal?
is there a time limit that they can challenge the will?
how can I prove the lazy executor is causing a delay due to conflict of interest?

    what would you do?
sorry for the many questions but stuck now!

    thank you in advance
