LOWELLS CCJ Threat Mistaken identity

Some months ago my partner received documentation in relation to an outstanding debt with an online retailer.They had her details registered in respect of an outstanding debt. It soon became apparent this was an error. Several conversations and emails later she still received warning letters despite the fact that she was told to "leave it with them". So 4 letters later and emails proving that she had been at the same address for over 25 years and she has now received a claim form from County Court Business Centre. Contact was made immediately and again they have said to leave it with them. But repeatedly they seem incapable of piecing this all together to establish they have the wrong person, despite not being able to produce the email address of the orderer or the delivery note or any other proof other than their letters. Could do with some advice on what to do next as it seems that they cannot get this sorted and keep harassing her when she has an exemplary credit history and not debt! This is also hampering our attempt to get a mortgage together and she is clearly distressed. Their latest telcon comment was to leave it with us it may take a month or two to sort out! Any advice welcomed! Thanks

Don't keep speaking to them on the phone unless you are recording the calls. Have you got any of what has been discussed in writing? I'd be tempted to counterclaim for £9995!!!!
