I did a search on Google and the results brought me to this forum. Please could you guide me. I have been issued a parking ticket at Earl Haig.
The story is that: I parked my car and paid for the one-hour ticket, which I displayed on my dashboard & took the refund part with me to the store. My mum did shopping at Iceland and I went to pick her up. I have a receipt from Iceland which falls within the time-frame of fine being issued. She had paid for shopping already so the cashier took my ticket and gave me a pound out of her till. The car which is on my father's name received a ticker. I appealed and gave them my details. I received a new ticket and appealed.
They have now written to me with a POPLA code. I went back to the car park and realised that I paid using the wrong parking machine which is operated by Excel parking. This machine was opposite where I had parked. The parking area is not very well lit and I was rushing for my safety as there was a group of people huddling together on their bicycles so to avoid getting mugged I paid using the wrong machine. I also realised that there were parking machines operated by smart parking but they were behind me in the corner where the gang was standing hence why I avoided going there.
I have thrown away the parking ticket that I paid £1 from Excel parking but I still have my Iceland receipt. Please can you help me?
