Scots Law Power of Atorney

I have recently moved to Scotland from England. I have a Power of Attorney for myself that was drawn up and actioned whilst in England. (Birmingham)

Do I need to register it differently, or is not valid now in Scotland?

I know I have to change my address and also have a will will made as the will is not now valid.

Any advice would be welcomed.

Is the power of attorney a lasting power of attorney? If so, I’m afraid the laws are different and a new LPA would need to be prepared under Scottish law. I don’t know whether the Scots have an option similar to eng/wales where an LPA can be prepared online, but it may be worth exploring.

Yes it is a lasting Power of Attorney, both financial and health related.

As I mentioned above. Scotland has a different system so I believe you will need to have them prepared again I’m afraid.
