    Re: Car seizure

I explained when I was stopped, I was not driving, then at the station I explained how the Road Traffic Act does not apply to me as I have no contract with the DVLA, and I do not currently engage in driving vehicles or traffic, END OF... also no signatures, no joiner to any name at interview.. denial of contract detailed on the FPN.. NO POINTS, NO COURT.. that's how it goes down.. just grow a pair of balls and back bone that's all.. If you actually have a license then yeah you will have some agreements in the contract you signed to get the license.. so that's there ammunition... Road Traffic Act applies to persons in agreements with DVLA.. DVLA regulates DRIVING, TRAFFIC & VEHICLES that you register to them... that's all...

Under s 143 of the Road Traffic Act 1988 it is an offence to use (or permit to be used) a motor vehicle on a road or other public place when there is not in force in relation to the use of the vehicle such a policy of insurance in respect of third party risks as complies with the Road Traffic Act
Penalty fine of up to £5000

If found guilty in court, the court (not police) award points on licence & report to DVLA

If given and accept an FPN one agrees to the penalty which includes points on licence.

      What is "other public place"?
