Hello
Can anyone help?
Myself my mother and father took out an bridging loan from lancashire mortgage and a commercial loan from harpmanor in 2006.
I was young at the time and signed it blindly. Also my father and mother didn't quite understand what they were getting into. The broker just put down information just to get the loan.
The payments were really high and due to the stress my father passed away. Me and my mother were left in a very dangerous situation. The loans had our home as security and another property on charge
Ill will start with the bridge inn loan. The bridge inn loan was taken out for £120,000 on the 12/06/06. The payments were about £1520 per month. And every anniversary of the loan it would add on 12,000 as a fine if we still had it. Lancashire had a charge on one of the properties and it was freehold. I reiterated my intentions to pay the loan in 2009. Enough time was given in advance. Currently i owed from 120,000 to £150,000 with the annual charges. I had to pay them back asap or more charges would be applied. back by the 12/06/09. I wrote to them in January with my intentions and they acknowledged it. I found a buyer for the property that they had a charge against it. The buyer was found in may. Harp manor stated they needed to make a decision if they can release the charge. I felt like they delayed the decsion to release the property on purpose so they could add the renewal fee. They made a decsion to release the charge about 4-5 days before they added the annual charge so from £150,000 they charged to just under £160,000. It was virtually impossible to clear the funds by that date.and i felt like they cheated me. I redeemed the loan but still not happy they unfairly charged me the annual fee. Can you help?*
The 2nd loan harpmanor.
This was taken out for £240,000 on the 12/06/2006. Again the payments are very high. I have to pay £2046.67 every month for 30 years. At this date(14/11/17 in time i still owe £232,000 inc with a high release fee of just under* £12,000. There interest rates never go down even with the bank of england base rate. Is there any help?* I have paid them over £200,000.
