Shoplifting /RLP

Hello,

I have been involved in shoplifting recently. Had a blank moment, done it first time. I have even went back to the lift to put the clothes back but has been caught by security guys. They saw on CCTV that I removed tags from clothes in the changing room. The average cost was under £200.00. Declined my proposal to pay the cost. Police has been called. I gave my name and address. I have been told I was charged and that Police will notify the Procurator Fiscal Scotland. Then I was free to go. Did not sign anything. Got also a letter from RPL. Could you please advise what the consequences might be. If I pay the fee will it help in any way? I am a foreigner originally but now have been naturalised. Thanks.

Hi and welcome.

Paying or not paying RLP will have no effect whatsoever on the action the Procurator Fiscal decides to take.
Ignore RLP and all their demands for payment.
Do not respond to them at all.

Do not ignore the Procurator Fiscal!!

Have a look at the other RLP threads on here and the thread that has RLP, and other, nasty letters in it so that you can see what to expect and ignore.

Wise advice! There have been a few threads on RLP here on Beagles. They seem to be a kind of vigilante organisation.
