  • Resolvecall - harrassment by post and visiting home

I received a letter by post from Resolvecall, relating to debts that go back well over 10 years ago. The debts were passed to Cabot Financial some time ago. No payments were made to them.
I have now had a representative knock on my door, my partner opened the door but would not allow him entry. He has left a note for me, advising I must contact their office in Glasgow urgently.

I am very nervous and afraid now to open my door to anyone when I am home alone.
Can anyone advise what I should do please, should I call the number on the card to Resolvecall asking them never to contact me again?

Advise would be very much appreciated.
    Many Thanks in advance

Resolve Call are debt collectors, they are not bailiffs or enforcement agents. They have no powers except persuasion. I used to work for them when they were known as scotcall .
Ignore them they are likely to make no more than three visits, the account will then be returned to their client.
Make a nice hot cup of tea, find your favourite dunking biscuit and don't worry.
