Hi,
It's been quite a long time since I last posted but I would appreciate some advice on my current situation which is as follows:
My husband and I have recently divorced after a 40 year marriage. For the past 5 or so years his girlfriend has been living in our house which is jointly owned by my ex husband and myself and which is now for sale. She does not contribute to the upkeep of the property.
The situation between us has always been difficult but has now become unbearable. They frequently disappear without telling me where or when they are going. This means that I am in the position of not being able to have a social life as my friends refuse to visit. She is constantly using my domestic appliances (9 loads of washing in 3 days, I counted!) and informed me that should I need to wash there was cold water in the tap!
I realise that the above may sound trivial in the grand scheme of things but I honestly feel at the end of my tether. It was suggested a few years ago that I apply for an occupation order but I couldn't afford to proceed but I do now have the funds available. The person who was looking at my case no longer works for the solicitors I employed. She got me so wound up last night that I nearly slapped her. In fact I would have not only felt better for having done so and at least I would have had my day in court. That is not an exaggerated statement.
I'd be grateful for any comments or advice.
Ruthie
