  • Ambulance Chasers?

    Leagle Beagles Statement:

The sheer quality of members we have so far, who are decent, principled and intelligent should demonstrate to all that we most certainly are NOT ambulance chasers.

We became aware that there are many people who can't or won't handle their own claims, they log onto sites like MSE, PC or CAG and find the sheer volume of information overwhelming and intimidating. In many cases, those people ended up using ambulance chasers and needlessly paid out a lot of their money for an amateur service that is uninsured and potentially unlawful. There is new legislation coming into force called The Compensation Act 2006 which shall hopefully put an end to these unprofessional firms, as it forbids their activities unless they are fully regulated and insured and as few of these firms have any qualified solicitors on their staff, they will be put out of business for good.

We have always recommended in our signatures ' If in doubt, consult a qualified, insured professional'...that is exactly what Beagle is providing, access to two law firms we have vetted and developed a close professional relationship with. They will offer a broad range of legal services from wills, divorce, conveyancing and yes, helping those who can't/won't self litigate against their bank. We believe that the sheer volume of traffic through the site will provide potential work for these firms, which will then provide us with a referral fee, which will help fund the site.

The 'safety net' presence of these two firms will not affect the day to day running of the site at all. We are dedicated to providing all the information and support for FREE. Any person joining the site who wants to do all the work themselves will be able to in the usual fashion and will get the very best help available.

Remember that out of 150,000 CAG members only 1% posted more than 10 times, that leaves an awful lot of others who fell by the wayside and either gave up or used an uninsured claims handling firm, we recognise that if we can be a 'one stop shop' offering excellence in FREE help or otherwise, we will guarantee better results for everyone. It all about offering freedom of choice without compromising our key ethical principles.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
