This isn't an 'issue' as such, but a niggle :beagle:

I get email notifications for subscribed threads. Until recently I was unable to browse many posts without being logged in on my mobile which meant I simply didn't bother, I just waited till I was at a computer.

Now I find I'm unable to click links on the computer without getting the coffee cup all the time which means I have to log in if I want to read the post. I can't stay logged in, as I'm logged out automatically if inactive, so keep having to sign in over and over and over just to read a post I may not even want or be able to respond to.

Is it just me that is niggled by this? It's not a moan as I can understand the reasons sites do it, but I wonder if it is tweakable somehow to make it a little more user friendly. If it's just me, don't worry!

Try deleting the bb_userlgv cookie for legalbeagles.info if it exists?

I always have cookies disabled by default. I wouldn't mind the coffee cup if it served real coffee as it normally happens when I'm in bed in the morning, surfing Legal Beagles as one does! :typing::sleep:

That cookie is one of the methods the forum can keep track of how many things you have viewed, so it knows when to show the coffee cup message.

So deleting it can reset the counter back to zero if you see what I mean.

But the forum can use other ways of keeping track, so not guaranteed doing that will reset things.

                  Re: Coffee Cups

It's mostly on my phone or tablet it happens trying to check emails first thing in the morning before surfacing. Often I just give up and wait. When it happens on the laptop (not often) I get niggled and dream of Beagle pie!

I understand the need sometimes for sites to restrict views before asking people to register or sign in; it can be a useful security measure.

I think anyway, given the cookie that is dropped.

What's wrong with phone or tablet?

I always take my mobile up to bed in case of emergencies, and my tablet lives up there due to chronic insomnia. I'm confused.com!
