Hope this is in the right place.

When I thanked someone using the thanks button nothing seemed to happen then I had to sign in again,could someone explain what I am doing wrong.
I know I am not very good at explaining myself:snowlol:

Hiya hun.

Nothing uch should happen - the post you thank gets a bar under it (like the one above) and the thankee gets 2 rep points added.

It shouldnt log you out. I'll have a wee look later on - I know theres an upgrade needs installing on the thanks system s will d this and hopefully it will srt any problem out.

I think it nly happens when you click the left thanks button - and I cant work out YET how to change it to just the one button on the right lol. Will persevere

could that be the reason ? I have just been thanking people by replying to them but I realise noe that they won't be getting any rep points for that.

It is not that important as I know you have been very very busy keeping the site up during the attack but just thought I would mention it.

Okay I did click on the Legal Beagles now all I have is the quote and the things that look like notepads and pencils

Okay I did click on the Legal Beagles now all I have is the quote and the things that look like notepads and pencils you will only have these symbols on your posts as you aren't allowed to thank yourself lol for obvious reason.

If I reply to you, in my box at the bottom you will see your quote and note pad symbol. At either side of these it says or should say thanks like this. If you click on that it will thank me.

Thanks Enaid for the explanation that all makes sense now I am not able to thank anyone just tried twice using the left thanks button (I was signed out) then tried again with the right thanks button (signed out again)

As I said before I am sure Amethyst has more important things to do.
