  • MMM, could get hairy

It seems there is a band of bad storms working up the country tonight, some people on some other forums that I go on have already had them.

It's just started going a little dark here, and the wind has sunddenly picked up (and I mean really howling here at the moment)

Wonder if it's about to get here, if it hits and I lose my power then that's me offline as the router and set top box need power to send a signal to my laptop.

    Anyone else had it yet?

THE WAY FORWARD ON THESE CLAIMS, IS TO STAY POSITIVE, FOCUSED AND PATIENT, AND ALWAYS, ALWAYS BELIEVE ITS WORTH THE EFFORT, BECAUSE IT TRULY IS. WHY CHOOSE THE PATH OF LEAST RESISTANCE WHEN THERES NOTHING TO LEARN FROM THAT. THINK OF CLAIMING AS A PERSONAL CHALLENGE AND GIVE IT YOUR ALL.

Well I went to bed, andhad just settled down when it started, rain of biblical proportions, lightning that lit the whoe sky up and thunder that put the fear of god in the dog! Some really pretty lightning forks.

And then after about half hour, it went!

We had 2 mega storms here last night (bottom of North Yorks) One around half 9 ish, and one at about 1am. Same as PJ pretty much, mega rain, forked lightling and lovely loud thunder. All the power went off briefly, but came back on again about 2 minutes later.

Loads of the building sites I've been speaking to this morning are flooded out, infact one guy said he had a small swimming pool where his site used to be, although I expect that to be a slight exaderation.

Winds got up today, but it is lovely and sunny, so thats always a good sign.

Well according to my daughter (she missed the lovely show at 10.30), it started up again in the early hours of the morning, and she said there was a lot of very bright lightning.

I must have slept through that one, will check with other half when he drags himself out of bed, as he was working nights last night.

He phoned me during the first storm and we were comparing notes on the lightning, he was about 8 miles from me, so it was wierd hearing the thunder coming through his phone after it happened here!

Oh and I woke to a lovely blue sky and little white fluffy clouds

I love waking up to beautiful weather after a heavy storm!

Just checked out the window and I can't see any fluffy clouds, but I can confirm blue sky and sun
