    Thomas Beatie ... and belly

Sex op bloke set to be a mum

MAN with beard sends shockwaves around the world announcing: 'I am PREGNANT'PALS of “pregnant man” Thomas Beatie last night told of their shock.
Beatie, 34, who yesterday released a pic of his five-months-pregnant belly, has gone into hiding. It is rumoured he and wife Nancy have sold their story to TV chat host Oprah Winfrey.
A British-born neighbour who is looking after their home in Bend, Oregon, while they are away said: “They’ve struck a big deal with someone.
“When they come back all will be revealed. This is 1,000 per cent true.”
Relative Rena Keeley added: “I believe it’s true. We’ve been told not to say anything.”
The transsexual kept his female organs after a sex change.
Some doctors say Thomas’s ten years of taking testosterone will increase the tot’s cancer risk — but others say there is too little research to back that up

It's not right if it is true.

plus it will be awful to try and push a baby out through such a small hole at birth time.

            ITS AN APRIL FOOL

            HE IS REVEALING ALL TODAY

Pregnant man to tell all on April Fool's Day

BEIJING, March 31 (Xinhuanet) -- April 1 -- April Fool's Day -- is the date of a scheduled news conference by American Thomas Beatie, the woman who became a man who became pregnant. Over the years Beatie has had various surgeries and hormone therapies, but retained his ovaries and uterus. Gender reassignment surgery has been around for decades, but what's drawn international interest (and headlines like "He's Having Their Baby") is his claim, published in the gay rights magazine The Advocate, that he is five months pregnant. Beatie and his wife Nancy are expecting their first child on July 3, though they have given few other details.
The inescapable biological fact is that men cannot become pregnant. A few males in the animal kingdom do in a sense become pregnant (such as seahorses, which carry eggs in their pouch once they are deposited there by a female, then fertilize them and carry them to term).
Humans are another matter entirely; if Beatie has retained his babymaking equipment, then he is in fact still biologically a woman, not a man.
This is not the first time that a man has claimed to have been pregnant. Several years ago, a man named Lee Mingwei was touted on the website MalePregnancy.com as the first man to actually become pregnant. Visitors to the site can peruse Lee's pregnancy journal, see video archives of the progress of his pregnancy, and even watch a short documentary film on male pregnancy. The site addresses skeptics by stating that suspicions of a hoax are wrong: "Yes, Mr. Lee is really pregnant.”
Curiously, the website has been up since 1999, and Lee is apparently still pregnant! Either the poor man has been in labor for nearly a decade (talk about a rough delivery!), or the story is a fake. Of course, Mr. Lee doesn't exist; the Web site is a hoax created as performance art by an artist named Virgil Wong.
Is Beatie's pregnancy also a hoax? It seems likely, though many news media (including Good Morning America and ABC News) have taken the story seriously, interviewing doctors, surgeons, and psychologists about the dangers of a transgendered birth, both to Beatie and the unborn child. The story may be a publicity stunt by The Advocate, or a hoax in the style of veteran media prankster Alan Abel.

              I may be wrong...

A pregnant 'transsexual' man says he is excited about the upcoming birth of his "miracle" child.

              Thomas Beatie with his wife

Appearing on American talk show Oprah, Thomas Beatie, 34, spoke about the joy he and his wife were feeling about his six-month pregnancy.
Mr Beatie, who was born Tracy Lagondino, underwent gender reassignment surgery but chose to keep his female reproductive organs.
He told Oprah he had "opted not to do anything to my reproductive organs because I wanted to have a child one day".
Last month, a gay magazine published the story about Mr Beatie's pregnancy - which was taken with a grain of salt by a sceptical world audience.

Many believed the story was a hoax - as Mr Beatie, a former Miss Teen Hawaii finalist, said he would not reveal anything until April Fool's Day.
But the talk show broadcast ultrasound images and audio of the baby's heartbeat when Mr Beatie appeared with his wife, Nancy.
"I can't believe it. I can't believe she's inside me. This is a miracle. We see this as a miracle," he told Oprah.
"I see pregnancy as a process and it doesn't define who I am. It's not a male or female desire to want to have a child, it's a human desire.
              Oprah speaks with Mr Beatie

"And I'm a person and I have the right to have my own biological child."
He said many organisations the couple had contacted for support told them not to go public with their story.
"I think that people will be shocked because no-one's ever heard of a man giving birth before," Mr Beatie said.
"I guess it's a shocking concept, but in this day and age that's possible. And it's happening now."
The couple's doctor in Oregon, Kimberley James, said the pregnancy was "normal" - in that the baby was developing well.
"This baby's totally healthy and this is, I consider, an average pregnancy," she said.

These people annoy me. They bleat on about how they feel they have been born into the wrong body and that it is their right to choose to live in the "correct" body.

Fine, whatever, who cares - although a 6'2" blonde walking around in high heels sporting 5 o'clock shadow believing that they are unnoticeable and that they truly behave, move and act just like a woman - is deluded at best.

What really amazes me, however, is that the rules can be bent to fit the circumstances.

This person wanted to become a man and has legally become one. He lives like a man and is legally married to a woman, but somehow because this man and his wife wanted a baby it suddenly suits him/her to use what he was given at birth - the reproductive organs of a woman.

He says: "Sterilization is not a requirement for sex reassignment, so I decided to have chest reconstruction and testosterone therapy but kept my reproductive rights. Wanting to have a biological child is neither a male nor female desire, but a human desire."

Rights? It's not a right to have a baby.

I think it's called hedging your bets and playing with the life of someone else is not right.
