ID:	1180332I know some may roll their eyes and others ask what this has to do with this site but I just wanted to give a gentle reminder that This Sunday is Remembrance Sunday. If you do have an hour to spare I implore you to nip out to your local service and just remember all those who have suffered and died because of conflict.
This is not about war mongering or flag waving. Most of those who died were coscripted or did not have a choice. This is not about national pride. It is about Humanity and to remind us how precious each life is.
Now you may be a pacifist but just bear with me. So many pacifists were imprisoned, bullied and spat at. Some were shunned and harassed so much they joined up contrary to their beliefs. Many died as stretcher bearers or Ambulance drivers.
Remember the many nurses, firemen and others in reserved occupations who were killed. Remember the civilians who were either slaughtered or displaced. Look, if you only do it because you love animals and want to remember the horses who drowned in the mud or dropped from exhaustion then that s fine.
    But please, please remember.

An optimist is someone who falls off the Empire State Building, and after 50 floors says, 'So far so good'!

    Re: Just Remember

Remember also that men from many nations freely volunteered to fight for Britain I two world wars.
Our forces form the 60's have all been volunteers fighting in many conflicts all over the world.
As someone who has lost many friends and comrades both in the 20th Century and the 21st I
    for one can never forget.
