    Re: Natwest BBC 9 - 10

Going to record and watch the repeat.
Natwest cut the hours in our local branch and last week had yet another computer failure.
I went in to check our account as I had no internet access and the queue was to the door, including girl in tears as her rent had not been paid.
We were not affected, thank goodness.
The only alternative is Barclays who announced, yesterday, that their local branch is closing in September.
The post office can take payments and will provide cash but what use is that when the computer problems persist?
    Never give up, Never surrender.

Nice to see some of the Press agree it was a dire dire programme

The programme, first of a three-part series, homed in on a NatWest branch in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. And it all left a rather unpleasant taste as I watched counter staff attempt to persuade customers to sit down with bank colleagues so they could be sold mediocre financial products, and people being encouraged to upgrade their account to one that levies fees.

It didn’t show NatWest in particularly good light, or some of its customers, and begs two questions: First, why is the BBC commissioning such garbage? And second, should I really renew my TV licence?

We deserve better from the BBC and NatWest, both taxpayer-funded monoliths.
