2015 General Election

After watching Question time on the BBC last night its the start of the Campaign for this years Election.

Any thoughts on a couple of things that will happen.

1.A rash of promises what doe we expect ?

2,Personal attacks of candidates and parties what do we all think of this tactic?

3. Do we give a toss knowing or expecting whoever gets in will keep the same crap system going for their ends.

None of the parties will grasp the nettle and realise that the level of tax is too low for the level of social welfare . We need to have he grown up discussion about the level of healthcare , social care education etc. Once that is settled we need to look at the level tax. Imho we need to tax the rich and work at puting money in at the bottom as money tends to move from the poor to the rich unless tax changes the situation . The worlds richest 100 people have more personal wealth than the poorest 50% . Is that right ? I will probabally vote green this year .

Come on we get a tartan version of the above.. Wales gets it's own version too...
Whichever hotchpotch coalition gets in (can't see either main party scraping the votes) The country faces serious problems.
Look at France.. The tensions you see there are ours, demography will create this problem here in ten years. Even where I live i my lifetime I have seen the results of terrorism (they drove the Canary Wharf bomb past my front door) and I had to drive many years ago through a thick haze of burning Aviation Spirit from the Pan Am disaster at Lockerbie. If the new government does nothing, then look at Belfast in the 70's, that is potentially the future for our country. In addition to this domestically the economy is broken. A good chunk of welfare is paid to those who DO work yet can't afford to put bread on the table. Arguing against reform are the descendent's of those who challenged Bevin's creation of the NHS or George's foundation of a welfare state. You can't simply 'claim' the moral high ground based on the assumption that change=reduced profitability. Give those in work access to better training opportunities, abolish zero hours contracts. Scrap the minimum wage use ONLY the living wage. Oh and reform the consumer credit act. Place more responsibility on those who chuck credit around, tighten contract law to ensure contracts can stand the tests of fairness before the unsuspecting sign and ensure that when a debt is barred by statute then it is BARRED. A law is a law and nobody should be able to wheedle around it using the court system as a battering ram to further their aims...

We seem to crawl along midway between Genghis Khan and the Dalai Lama. We are bullied by Europe and the USA. We have neglected our duty to educate our young and care for our sick and elderly. Our industry is on its backside, our national resources have been privatised and or banks have been shown to be incompetent and even corrupt. Our police are either playing Miami vice or behaving like pen pushing social workers and our so called regulatory bodies are run by ex-government ministers or the semi-retired CEO’s of the very organisations we are complaining about. Meanwhile we try not to offend anyone and make a fine show of noblesse oblige by sending millions to developing nations.
No we are not a developing nation; we are a crumbling powerhouse. Members of the Chipping Norton set may say that the economy is in great shape and things are improving. Look at the facts and figures they say. Would those include figures similar to the ones produced by Tesco? Oh yea, very reliable accounts. This opinion may also be based on the cost of property in Mayfair, Kensington and the Cotswolds rising because the super-rich are rushing to live here. They rush here because they know the government will allow them to keep their millions. The bond street Jewellers are rubbing their busy little hands together. The super-rich wives are often disappointed when they cannot get into the palm court at the Ritz for afternoon tea or have to book a message treatment in advance. Why, look how Busy the Harrods food hall was on Christmas Eve! Nightmare. Charlotte had to wait 3 minutes at the handmade chocolate counter! The cost of living has gone down dramatically they say. A 1998 Bollinger was only £48 in Waitrose and that was on New Year’s Eve. They even offer you a 20% discount if you buy a case. What on earth are the Hoi polloi moaning about? Probably those Trotsky agitators at it again.
Good times for all eh?
No one walks seven miles to Kensington for a loaf of bread and I bet the plastic bag that woman used instead of a nappy was not from Waitrose. Should we tell those people at the food bank that they should be proud they are citizens of a country that gives millions so other countries can feed their poor? Should we tell the people dying on trollies because they did not get timely and adequate treatment that they should die with a smile on their face because their taxes helped to build a new hospital in some far off place?
Who is going to bring a level headed and fair Government to Westminster? Looking at all the options I am damned if I know and this is before I even get started on the legal system and terrorism!!!!
