  • A Moan, Sorry

I just need to sound off!!
Just had OH's family round for dinner, as his mum is going back to Spain tomorrow (she lives there).
His mum's English fella does not like OH's sister's boyfriend so did not come, which meant OH had to collect her - and also his sister and her boyfriend.
OH was meant to collect his mum at 6, but didn't get there until 6.30. She wasn't ready. They didn't get back here until 8!!!!

Myself and the kids were sitting waiting for them all so we could eat.
I had done pizza's - the cheats way, cheap pizza then added ham, pineapple, salami, all different types. It still took effort.
    Anyway we ate before them.
They came in and it turns out the reason why his mum wasn't ready is because she was eating dinner at her fella's!
She didn't even have one slice to be polite, say sorry, nothing.
What she did say was 'George knew I was going to be eating here, but made me dinner'.
I said (half jokingly) 'You should've told him you were eating here' and she replied 'Well he served it so I didn't want to hurt his feelings'
    What about mine?
What was she doing while he was cooking dinner. Did she not notice?

Then after we'd eaten and all talking she decided to phone her ex husband, sitting in the lounge with all of us, talking loudly!
At 9.30 she said she wanted to leave at 9.45.
My OH disappeared to wrap a mother days present for her and she started shouting for him saying she needed to go, virtually demanding he take her there and then.
    They've gone now.
I just needed to let off steam while OH is out. If I say all this to him it will end in an argument.

    Thanks for being here,
    Love Sally xxx

OH mother lives in Spain and eats by 7pm? That is shocking behaviour for someone living over there!

You poor thing Sal...sounds like the evening from hell.

O/H's mum has no manners, your jaw must be aching from clenching your teeth!

"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

This is the same woman some of you may remember from otr who kept letting herself in to our home with the emergency key OH gave her.
She used it to kill time on her way in to town, wait for a lift rom her fella, or anything else.
          OH told her not to.
But she still did - not even knocking first. The first I would know she was in the house, she would be in the lounge doorway!
The last time she did it, I asked her not to do it again and she lied, saying she rang the bell and heard it. I said there was no way she heard it as I didn't.
I explained that I may be in the shower, naked, have friends round or even having sex.
She replied she knew that wouldn't be happening as she knew OH was out.
          I said 'I may have been w*nking'.
She wouldn't speak to me for about a month after!
          OH was pretty mortified!!
I thought it was funny - still do!

OH has been back a while now and said nothing about it - I am biting my tongue!!
I so want to make some 'little' comment, some 'slight' dig, and it's so hard not to.
I think he is so used t it he doesn't notice or accepts it, or says 'she's Italian, that's the way they are' (????)
Better go to bed to shut myself up!! lol

Well I managed it - didn't say a word about it.
Thank you for being here and letting me let off steam, it means a lot and saved an argument.
She wants us to go over there in the summer - yeah right! I want to go to Crete this year, OH said if I pay we can so will be saving my pennies. No way going to Spain again.
