  • I used to believe?

the childhood beliefs site - I Used To Believe

    Fab website!

I used to believe that cats could read you mind. Ive no idea where that came from but I was 100% convinced that my cat knew what I was thinking.

What did everyone else "used to believe"?
When we love, we always strive to become better than we are.

When we strive to become better than we are, everything around us becomes better too.

    Re: I used to believe?

Ok, this is a bad confession but I fell for that grand old one of "growing pains", I did until the day I said it at 16 years of age and the look on my mother's face. Lying parents!!

I do remember something else that I used to believe but as this is the lamp post and we are in politically correct days, that one will have to be by PM only.

I knew logically that it made no sense and could not possibly be true, but I believed that stolen chocolate had no calories!

pmsl..that is actually a very good belief, and I think it's something I'm going to have to start believing myself Sal to cope with my diet!! lol

I also believed in the growing pains syndrome - I use it on my kids too.

But my main belief was that fairies lived in the greenhouse at the bottom of my grandads garden - we used to watch them in a little circle of light!! until I got older and found out it was his lantern that he used to keep the tomato plants warm!!!

I remember asking my Dad what a heart attack was and he told me it was when a big, red heart - as in a heart shape as opposed to a real heart (because that would be silly) - walked down the road with a spear.
