    Oh this brings back memories I also started working in 1978 but was paid monthly into the bank.And to think I had savings back then don't know how I managed that.

        The same year as me Scottishlass, the only thing I was far too lazy for work and dossed for three years at college, then another three at university.

              My brother in law is scottish and he dropped a pound coin once.
              He went for it that quick, it hit him on the back of his head
