The same Labour Party that lost an 18 point lead in the 1992 election

The reasons for that are complex. In no particular order, some of the factors were:

1. Labour voters were complacent, due to the poor electioneering of the Welsh Windbag
2. Some of the reported "18 point lead" just did not exist, as people misreported their voting intentions to the pollsters
3. A typical Tory election tactic was to tour old folks' homes, gathering up all the proxy votes possible
4. An extension of that proxy votes scam was to secure as many expatriate votes as possible by means of fibs told about how Labour would tax Britons working (or retired) overseas. The 1992 election was the first in which expatriate voters were enfranchised.
5. John Major-Ball's regime was still perceived as "moderate" - he had yet to confront and face down "the bustards" as he called some in the Parliamentary Conservative Party.

I am saying the comments made by others (i.e piddle on her grave, Altzhiemers is too good and some of the sexual comments) are sick.

I have not demanded a eulogy at all, just maybe a kerb on some of the sicker comments..

And the crux to this is still in your opinion. Not everyone shares it. You were one of the people advocating "an eye for an eye", extra-legal justice, violence and rape not too long ago. Because the people you were advocating it for didn't meet your standards. I didn't agree with what you and others said, despite the fact that I did not agree with the Philpotts actions either. You thought that what they did was beyond redemption. You might be right. I think what Thatcher did was beyond redemption. She died peacefully in her bed at the Ritz, at a ripe old age. Many people she damaged did not. Her legacy, which lives on today in ATOS, DCA's and large parts of the financial system, means many more will not. I respect your right to your opinion - respect others the same right.

I can't speak for anyone else, not having been on the thread, but I have respected the thread speaking in her favour by not going on it and not arguing with whatever is there. But you seem to not have the same respect for the fact that not everyone agrees with you. If her family wanted to mourn in peace and solitude, then they did not have to announce her death so publically. If they wanted a nice quiet funeral for her loved ones, they didn't need a £10million service. They chose to make this a public event. And if it doesn't meet with your approval, then as you have told previously to people - goodbye and nice knowing you - but not everyone agrees with you. What a load of rubbish, how on earth can anyone expect her death to be announced quietly she is an ex prime minister and an international figure like it or not.

I dont vote tory or labour, So that doesn't leave a lot of alternatives, does it? but I dont think she deserved half the stuff she is getting. And you are entitled to think that - just as others are entitled to belive that she does.

Just to put this in perspective, a murderer (Hindley) dies and there is an announcement that a scumbag is gone, someone who lived a law abiding life dies and people dance in the streets?? Hmm - matter of opinion. Attacking and murdering a retreating enemy during a war is an international war crime. Seems some people can get away wth crimes, and some can't.

If you want fluffy dice then the Good stuff on Maggie has about 2 pages to be honest with you. At least they did not make a film about her death like Osama bin Laden or like Princess Di. Depending on where you lived and the economic well being you had at the time will depend on your own viewpoint.

After the execution of Ted Bundy in the US who was a very well known serial killer there was certainly a lot of celebration about the place. With Hindley there was still one boy unaccounted for and that is still the case today.
