Hey sweetie,

I know recently the weather has had you down, and that you have been praying for a lift and some sun.

Well today the sun is shining and the weather is clear, I thought of you today and imagined the smile on your face and the relief in your mood lightening with the weather, and hoped you were happier.

When I first joined LB I added a poem that I said I had been sent, well TBH it was because I was kinda worried to admit I wrote it, but it made me think about you being happier and hope it will help you feel better in the dark days.

A ray of sun,
A baby's laugh,
Good Morning as you go by
A word of thanks for work well done
It's the simple things that make you smile!

Fresh baked bread,
A burnt bald head
Time to stop and chat a while
An invite out for coffee
Such little things make you smile

Kids pulling faces on buses
A message from a friend
All things will make you smile and its true
And I hope that this and every day
That sees you go about life
Those simple things keep coming back to you

Feeling so much better thank you The sun is shining here too and I actually got to do one or two things in the garden today. I also heard some birds singing. Have turned the corner and spring seems that bit closer. About to take my brood out for a walk, still wrapped up warm but with a bit more of a spring in my step. Thank you for thinking of me.

January is officially OVER for another year, yaaaaayyyyyyyy

Great to hear this lovely day had put a positive slant on things for so many people.
I love spring, the new growth, baby animals in the field and being able to throw the windows open and air the house! I have already sat and discussed sprucing our little home up, we are having quarry tiles in the kitchen, well from the front door to the back and through the kitchen and downstairs loo!

then we are having a nice red/maroon carpet in the living room to match and I'm getting some nice fake flowers for the windowshelf!

wonderful how positive the sun makes us isn't it?

Up and down the land it seems so many of us were washing our cars today, us no exception. Inca, my sympathies there is nothing worse than just finishing cleaning your car and a bird poops on it! It has happened to us too. I also have a major phobia of birds.

Rose, it sounds like you have given yourself a major project in spring - I am sure your 'wee castle' will look lovely once you have finished.

My poor little car was only fresh out of 'ospital today ,,had new wing mirror fitted after some gonk guillotined it off last week so it was properly washed and waxed (not the spit n polish OH gives it) and a grotty flying vermin defiled it !!!

Pigeons - yuk - vermin. (especially those that poop on cars!) Rose I grew up in Africa. That is probably why I suffer so in this country in January cause in southern Africa its mid summer now.

Today is a bit overcast, but still a lovely day, Mr R told the kids to be shush as mammy was having a lie- in!!

Oh Yuck Puff? Pigeon Pie? I think not,,the only fowl I eat are chicken and turkey,,have tried duck,partridge,poussin,goose etc and hated them all.
The IncaDen is under major springclean too,,all the nets are down and going round in washer but am hampered by the major decorating thats going on,,new floors in lobby,kitchen,lounge,conservatory etc then I get a letter from my HA telling me I'm getting a home visit,,which i have a sneaky suspicion it's to tell me there is a brand new bungalow for me cos a new build has just been completed about a mile away!

easy way Incs, bung em in the sink with some fairy liquid, rinse and hang em wet in the windows!! get the nice whiffing fairy and it makes ya rooms smell nice too

Am old fashioned Puff,,gotta be done on a boil wash (used to used a great big saucepan but them days is gone now),,persil washing powder (used to be Lux soapflakes) and yes,,hung up wet so they drop properly.
