  • Am I wrong?

I got up late this morning, sat knitting all night long,
Got dirty looks from the inlaws and wondered "am I wrong?"
The kids were in their Jammies, with havoc reigning free
The Inlaw sat there scowling, I wondered "is it me?"
The hubby came in smiling, and looked at Inlaw glum,
he grabbed the cups and made the tea, I asked "What have I done?"
Inlaw pointed at a load of toys and snapped "look at the mess"
well until I've had me coffe, I'm afraid I don't care less!
I notice that the telly is loud as it can be,
and realise to my horror we are watching QVC
i drink my drink in silence cos god forbid that i
I should interrupt him watching products he's not gonna buy!!
The presenter says "Send me a tweet, I'll read out what I get"
am I wrong to want to tweet the guy "can I turn your show off yet?"
Mayhem and confusion are the keystones of my house
but Himself is watching QVC, we're all quiet as a mouse!!
the coffees nearly drunk now, gonna make the kids get dressed,
but whatever it is i did, I'm wrong, cos the inlaws not impressed!!!

    Re: Am I wrong?

I've had more than my fair share of 'in laws'...2 marriages and Robs parents (both sadly gone now),,and there wasn't one moment that I let them make me feel bad, useless etcetc,,after all,,if I'm that bad it's not a good reflection on their parenting skills that their son chose me as a wife

    Oh,,and it's YOUR house,,YOUR rules,,they don't like it? Wave bye bye lol
