I gave my last laptop a complete meltdown,it point blank flatly refused to connect to t'internet,no matter how much cajoling, bribery, promises of better care I gave it. It now resides under the sofa catching fluffmsl:

I got Jacks replaced on house insurance after I put the bag that contained it,his Iphone and lunch on top of the car and drove off,,remembered it,reversed,,and ran it over msl:

        Only you Inca!!!

I once went to Manchester, to an area called Wythenshawe to see Jess (she don't live there any more thankfully, so I decided it was time to drive home, and got the whole "don't stop while your in Manchester" thing, and I filled up the car with fuel.

Driving out, I realised that the car behind me was flashing its lights and bibbing the horn. I ignored them and continued, until the car swung round me and slammed the brakes on, forcing me to stop.

The driver got out and approached, I grabbed the crook lock and opened the window a fraction to be met by a smiling face and the words "Eh oop our Lass! You had ya purse on the roof, I tried to stop you but you didn't see me, it's a bit mucky from ya back wheels... Get home safe Lass!!"

Replacing the screen on a laptop is not a complicated procedure, and there's plenty of You Tube videos showing how it can be done, quite probably for your specific make and model.

I've just yesterday replaced the keyboard on mine. It cost me £18 for a genuine Samsung keyboard, and took less than 5 minutes to fit. I hate to think what a shop would have charged.

It might be worth looking into as you might save a lot even on the excess from the house insurance.
