Oh my goodness,, I have to say ,the DWP are rather OTT in their attempts to kill off rainforests.

We have just received a letter,,4 pages worth plus a 'booklet' in case we want to appeal the decision which,I have to say,I'm tempted to just to be bl00dyminded.
Do I or don't I appeal to the change of...........................23PENCE!!!!

Yes folks 23 foofing PENCE !! and thats only for 6 DAYS in APRIL 2013!! after that it's 22PENCE!!

And they wonder why the country is in such a shocking state!!

Inca, when it comes to benefits decisions then appeal. I'll explain, I was made aware recently that all DLA claims were being turned down, yet on appeal most are successful. Appeal because ultimately, they may well be banking on you not appealing and therefore saving more money.

If it was up to me I'd do it for a laugh,,but as my 'sensible' beloved says,,why irritate a hornets nest?..it's 22 pence,,just the crass stupidity of the amount of effort and paper it took stunned me

        Re: Paper

Appealing a benefits decision is merely asking them to do it again. Furthermore if it is money you are entitled to then appealing it is about getting something you are owed. Many people not appealing is saving the government money and perhaps putting some people into hardship. You may not be in the latter case but if you qualify for it then appeal. It stirs up nothing and thinking it would suggests that the DWP(an organisation) works like a living thinking being when we all know the left hand usually does not speak to the left one
