In view of the £450,000 pay off being given to someone who worked for 54 days in a post and did a dreadful job of it, do you think the Beeb can afford to do without our license fees ?

That was a years salary, he was only entitled to six months, he should be paying back half at least.

I just detest the fact that if people start to sue over the Saville and others shameful behaviour we will end up paying for that too. It should be from those personally at fault and not the general public who pay a license fee to receive decent tv that coughs up for that. Judging by the wages they get and the fact most of them do not pay all the taxes due then they should be able to afford it.
