Someone OTR was bored so decided to see if Ellie Renshawe (Crapital One) was on Facebook. She is! I'm going to see if Hedley Pringle (Citicards) exists on there (or anywhere else for that matter lol).

This could be a good way to pass the time, then when we've found all these various people from various banks, who never reply to us, send our messages to their Facebook page. Or would this be an invasion of privacy lol. I suppose they are entitled to a life, after all, even if what they do for a living is morally reprehensable?

i apologise in advance if anyone finds this idea offensive.

    Re: Facebook

Well if they don't want people to contact them through Facebook, then they shouldn't be on there. The minute you put yourself out in public like that, is the minute that you allow yourself to ben contacted by all and sundry.

Not that I am calling you sundry Wendy

But would you know who they were, if you hadnt has any business dealings with them.
You could be classed as harrassment if you contact them outside of their work.

I would report you if i was the person.

            Re: Facebook

There is another way of looking at it.

Scenario...... Jane Smith has an account with XYZ bank, and has entered in a dialogue with them with regard to charges on the account.

Ms Jones at XYZ bank is being stubborn and not responding properly, in the meantime, the account has been passed to the 'inhouse' dca.

Inhouse dca is using every trick under the sun, text messages, phone calls, threatograms and even phoning neighbours.

Ms Jones is still being stubborn, only response Miss Smith can get is 'talk to the dca'

One day while being bored, Miss Smith is having a browse, and comes across the name of someone that she went to school with, checks out the profile on Facebook/Myspace whatever. And realises that the Susan Jones she went to school with is indeed the same Ms Jones that she is having trouble with.

So applying the same principal that the dca is using, why can she not contact the woman through her public profile, in a desperate measure to get resolution to the problem?

              Re: Facebook

she can contact them because she did have a previous personal relationship with her, ie, that she went to school with them. If she did not have that relationship then it would be unwarranted.
