    Started in touring then static vans on Tyddyn Isaf, then my parents bought a house in Pentraeth, then eventually the one in Moelfre.
    Yes, I know Northop Hall! Why do you ask?

    The other place I know well in Mold is the DIY shop Bevan's - spent many happy hours with that family in my younger days, lovely people!

        Sorry to hijack your thread Di-but I am your mate & it is about your beloved Wales - albeit t'other end--lol

        Caspar--40 odd years ago-I got transferred for a few years from "a very large enginnering company" here to "a very large enginnering company" there (I think you get my drift-lol) & I lived in Northop Hall.--know Mold backwards-stayed at Bry Awl while looking for a house--played for Halkyn also

        What a beautiful place for your parents to livein-Moelfre

        Re Lligwy--we used to go camping every annual holiday and most weekends--especially in those roasting summers of 1974-1976--boys like blackberries

        Come up lane from beach-turn right-first site on your right after 50 yards-Tyn Rhos

        Lovely times had at Benllech also--taught boys to swim at Amlwch baths

        I remember Wheel & Anchor pub & Knockers Fish shop also

        We went over a bit back for Lifeboat day celebrations-stay at Calfornia in Marionglas usually

        What a small world as you say

            Knockers Fish and Chip shop still there, but new name - one of which was The Wheel and Anchor - the pub is the Kinmel Arms! Amlwch baths still going (Llangefni Sports Centre now closed!). I worked in the Californian Inn behind the bar as a summer job when at uni - might even have served you? Remember that pint that made you ill?

            Tyn Rhos now a massive commercial concern. Still owned by the Owens. Don't know how well you knew the owners, but Mr and Mrs passed away (old Age), Kathy the disabled daughter has married and moved away, Rick now runs things - he was always a bit of a Del Boy, very rarely see him now.

            Happy memories eh.......
            Attached another couple of photos - sadly can't find one on this computer of view from mum and dad's house! First is Lligwy, second Benllech.

            HEY DI!
            Are you a welsh gal too?

                Hen Wlad fy Nhadau
                Welsh National Anthem

                Melody -

                Mae hen wlad fy nhadau yn anwyl i mi,
                Gwlad beirdd a chantorion, enwogion o fri;
                Ei gwrol rhyfelwyr, gwlad garwyr tra mad,
                Tros ryddid collasant eu gwaed.

                Gwlad, gwlad, pleidiol wyf i'm gwlad,
                Tra mor yn fur

                O bydded i'r heniaith barhau. 2. Hen Gymru fynyddig, paradwys y bardd,
                Pob dyffryn, pob clogwyn, i'm golwg sydd hardd;
                Trwy deimlad gwladgarol, mor swynol yw si

                Mae hen iaith y Cymry mor fyw ag erioed,
                Ni luddiwyd yr awen gan erchyll law brad,

                      Lol David...........

                      Well I have this here lol

                      THE WELSH NATIONAL ANTHEM,
                      AN UNOFFICIAL ENGLISH VERSION

                      The land of my fathers, the land of my choice,
                      The land in which poets and minstrels rejoice;
                      The land whose stern warriors were true to the core,
                      While bleeding for freedom of yore.

                      Chorus
                      Wales! Wales! fav'rite land of Wales!
                      While sea her wall, may naught befall
                      To mar the old language of Wales.

                      Old mountainous Cambria, the Eden of bards,
                      Each hill and each valley, excite my regards;
                      To the ears of her patriots how charming still seems
                      The music that flows in her streams.

                      My country tho' crushed by a hostile array,
                      The language of Cambria lives out to this day;
                      The muse has eluded the traitors' foul knives,
                      The harp of my country survives.
