  • Wii Fit progress

I treated myself to the Wii Fit and have purchased so far the Wii Sport & Resort games with console. It has been great fun and we can all play as a family bowling, Tennis etc....

When I first started I had a Wii fit age of 80 now I am between 27 and 47. My daughter who is 21 has a Wii fit age between 45 and 60 and Mr T is still between 60 and 80.

I find I am better on the bowling for some reason, I am unable to hit the ball on baseball yet Mr T who is lousy on the bowling is able to hit the ball in baseball and Tennis I am medioka.

Since I have been doing the Wii fit for last two weeks, I visited the doctors yesterday where my blood pressure was taken, for the first time in years the doctor was really impressed as I am maintaing a very good level and he asked me what the secret was? When I told him that I am doing wii fit he agreed it was very good and should maintain it.

All I can tell you, it does get you motivated and I am hoping on Saturday to buy the Wii balance board and Wii fitplus as I have it reserved to collect as it has been out of stock all over the country as there is a Wii Fit shortgage and it has been very popular.

I read in the paper and heard from a lady in the hairdressers that peeps have been loosing a lot of weight by doing the keep fit exercises on a regular basis.

Good for you Tutts sounds like you're doing really well, where did you get the Wii from ? Did you get a good deal ? We're thinking of investing in one so will be interested in finding the best deals around.

There was as I have said a shortage, but got my console and two games from Sainsburys in black as that matched our TV etc. M&S had it in white and it was dearer.

Some stores do the whole thing with balance board but they were out of stock when I was looking and they were about £250.

If you google where can I buy a wii fit.... it will come up with who has it in stock and the prices.

I paid £164.99 for the console and two games.

The board is going to cost at Smyths toy shop £90

With some companies you can as we did with Smyths ask them to contact us by text when the item comes in and then they reserve it for you for 24 hours and I have to close of buisiness tomorrow to collect it.

We have also purchased from 'game' a charger and another remote so two peeps can play together.

It is expensive but a hell of a lot cheaper than joining a gym and a lot easier than going out to a bowling alley and paying for the use of the lanes and we are having loads of fun.

I was lucky enough to get a Wii for Christmas. I also wanted it for keeping fit. I ordered a balance board with Wii Fit Plus at the new year, and I'm still waiting for it to come into stock on Tesco Direct [it was one of the cheapest around at £89, for Wii Fit Plus, and might as well get club card points]. Also, if you order via Quidco, you get the cashback there as well [8% I think it was].

I hate waiting, and have tried looking around to see if anyone else has got it but, like Tuttsi said, everywhere is waiting for stock!!!

BTW, 'Just Dance' is great for working up a sweat and getting the body moving too, if you like dancing!!

PJ, if you have a Smyths toy shop in your area they are getting some more in next week. If you give them your mobile number they will text you when it arrives and hold it for 24 hours for you to collect. http://www.smythstoys.com/nintendo-w...3-dc5f82331197 check here if there is a store near you.

Amazon had some a few days ago, not sure if they have sold them yet.

            Good luck

We haven't got one of those toy shops round here, and Amazon only had the basic Wii Fit when I looked, so I'll just hold out and try and be patient lol

              Thanks anyway
