  • DVD player: Sunday nights entertainment's finished for me.....

I have a Bush 2080 DIVX machine that when you plug it in it goes to the OFF position and does nothing else. It currently has a DVD imprisoned in the player and has quick frankly hacked me off since I now have to trawl the usual insatiable rubbish for something to watch.
Can anyone suggest anything else that does not involve porn, or buying a new DVD player cos I am annoyed and Tesco is shut tonight so no new DVD player for me......GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!

For information, the DVD was not adult material but I do not own a hammer to do some natural justice and my DVD player on my laptop is broken. ******** useless piece of crap that I own......as you can tell, I am not rich.

Get a screwdriver and remove the top of the DVD player and remove the stuck DVD.

Go to Channel 4 OD (On Demand) on your pc, if you haven't done so already, watch the entire series of Green Wing.

Funniest series ever! And somehow, I get a feeling you will enjoy the surreal humour.
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )

re. Dodgy DVD players/other dodgy hardware equipment (incl PC's, Hoovers, etc) I find a swift, but firmly dealt kick (with a hob-nailed boot attached to foot!) often remedies these frustrations... if it doesn't restore to working order, it at least has some therapeutic value...;-)
PS. Nowt on TV this eve:-(
