Anyone had............

a decent pickle lately?
By this I mean a pickled onion.
I love pickled onions in malt vinegar, I am not talking about the silver skins or sweet kind.
So any offers on recommendations for these elusive little gems? am sick of paying a lot for soggy, quite frankly tasteless ones.
Anyway am going to pickle some myself at weekend see how they fair.

Tesco do a good pickled onion, called 'hot and spicy', but we've found that the best by far is Haywards Strong Picked Onions.

I personally (especially at Xmas) am partial to a jar of mixed pickles, delving to find the gherkins! mmm

Well Oh did 3 jars of his own last week, we will open some on Sunday see how we go, could be the making of my old man a wee bit o pickling lol.

I made mine the other week as well... house stank for days..
