Is it just me or is anyone else appalled by the support being afforded to Roman Polanski comming from Hollywood and Paris on the basis that it was all a long time ago and that it ''wouldn't be right'' to prosecute such a cultural genius?
Let's be clear about what this man did. It wasn't just a case of underage sex. He drugged and sodomised a 13 year old, was charged on 3 counts of rape and fled the US to avoid justice.
And I very much doubt this was a one-off. Only a year or two after it happened I saw him in a restaurant in Paris dining with a girl who could barely have been in her teens and I remember feeling distinctly uncomfortable.
