I wasn't saying that the child of a LH father can't be LH themselves. According to the experts everyone has a roughly 10% chance of being LH regardless of parents, but its the mother that increases that possibility to something like 20%.
The father's influence only seems to kick in if both parents are LH, and even then the odds only come out at about 40%, when logic suggests that it would be much higher. I don't recall anyone having any explanation for this, its just what the studies seem to suggest.
