LASPO 2012 ... Most positive reforms since commencement?

I am currently writing about the Legal Aid, Sentencing and Punishment of Offenders Act 2012.

What are the most positive changes to the state of this legislation since commencement?
What developments have mitigated any damage wrought?
How has your legal aid practice fared since 2012?
What did you do to ensure your service continued?
