  • For any parent with a kid of teenage years(I need advice from them)

I recently realised how much I don't know about what is going on in the music scene......Any help as to what to listen to would be useful.....am starting with Kings of Leon but any other suggestions?

Not sure Grease, Cliff Richards, and Barry Manilow is really hip and happening, pmsl!!!

People who do not fit the above, ie parents of children but still hip and happening, I would love to hear your views as well(BEFORE I GET beaten up by half the forum!!)

You could try a bit of The Ting Tings or maybe Duffy, Adele or MGMT.

That is your starter for ten.

depends what kind of stuff ya like....one hit wonders, dancy ****e, or someone with a bit of substance! Personally I like stuff like Pink, Snow Patrol, Coldplay [in the kinda mainstream stuff].....but my 8 year old, who absolutely loves his music, is well into stuff like Slipknot......which might be a bit hardcore for you if you're still experiencing Cliff and Barry lol

Try Cradle of Filth and My Chemical Romance for the real teen experience.

              'No one understands me!'
"Although scalar fields are Lorentz scalars, they may transform nontrivially under other symmetries, such as flavour or isospin. For example, the pion is invariant under the restricted Lorentz group, but is an isospin triplet (meaning it transforms like a three component vector under the SU(2) isospin symmetry). Furthermore, it picks up a negative phase under parity inversion, so it transforms nontrivially under the full Lorentz group; such particles are called pseudoscalar rather than scalar. Most mesons are pseudoscalar particles." (finally explained to a captivated Celestine by Professor Brian Cox on Wednesday 27th June 2012 )
