  • How long does it take them to stop processing my data?

I have a problem, I need to know how long it takes for a provider under the Data Protection Act to delete a membership to an internet forum?
THe last name i got sorted out took almost 7 days, is it likely to be the same? I don't believe it. Surely it should be done on request.
Help anyone it is a delicate subject which is why i have put it in here.

Oooh blimey I don't know. I am admin on another forum and when we get requests to delete, we just delete their profile and it takes away all the ip addresses and everything. Once delete has been hit there is no reversing it cos it wipes all the details.

But as to the providers, I really don't know.

It has also been the same when we have deleted someone for misconduct, we just go into their profile through admin, and hit delete.

Their posts stay there, but the username profile thingy just shows them as a guest. Post counts disappear and like I say the ip also disappears from the records.
